Because we care, we are devoted to the academic, social and artistic development of our diverse community of learners. Our goals are to awaken a questioning spirit, foster creative expression and prepare students for college. We believe that through hard work, perseverance and enthusiasm every graduate will become a life-long learner and responsible citizen of the world.

LoMA is a small College Preparatory NYC Public High School with extensive Arts programming, including Theater, Dance & Visual Arts. As a neighborhood school of the diverse Lower East Side, one of LoMA’s greatest strengths is its connections to community-based organizations. LoMA has developed partnerships with the following organizations and universities: New York Theatre Workshop, The Whitney Museum, St. Luke’s Orchestra, Educational Alliance, LEAP, The Park Avenue Armory, The Tony Bennet Foundation/Exploring the Arts, Early Stages and New York University. LoMA’s exemplar programs have also earned grants from the New York State Council of the Arts, The Tony Bennet Foundation and the City of New York.
