Thursday, March 21:
- Grades 10 and 11: On this day, all 10th grade students will be taking the PSAT, and all 11th grade students will be taking the SAT. These exams measure a student's reading, writing, and math comprehension. The PSAT is considered a practice for the SAT. Many colleges and universities in the United States require students to submit scores from the SAT as part of the application process, which is one of many factors that college admissions officers consider. The exams will begin promptly at 8:40 a.m. Any student who arrives after 9:00 a.m. will NOT be permitted to take the exam. Some other important information:
- Students should eat breakfast at home or before they enter the testing room. It is a long day, and students cannot eat during the test.
- Students will not be able to enter the building to take the test after 9:00 a.m.
- Students can NOT have their phones in the exam room. Phones will be collected when they enter the exam room and returned when the exam is over.
- Students will be dismissed once they have completed the exam.
